Emma Roller is a freelance journalist living in Washington, DC. Previously, she covered the 2016 presidential campaign for the New York Times’ Opinion section. Her writing has also appeared in The Atlantic, Slate, National Journal, The New Republic, and elsewhere. She served as Editor In Chief of the Daily Cardinal during the 2010-2011 academic year, and oversaw the Cardinal’s coverage during a particularly tumultuous year in Wisconsin state political history.
